Description Management DuPont™ Danisco® is the brand for a range of
products that help provide enhanced bio protection, an improved nutritional
profile, and better taste and texture with greater cost
efficiency and lower environmental impact, meeting the needs of
manufacturers of food and beverages, dietary
supplements and pet food. This application was developed for authoring and
maintaining product descriptions. Product descriptions are stored as pdf
documents which contains information such as application areas of the
product, usage levels, ingredients, allergen information etc. Different business units of Danisco are having
predefined description templates/questions, for which used can give the
details/descriptions and these descriptions are used as knowledge base of
different products. PDM is an application suite which constitutes PD Author
and PD Search. PD Author application allows the user to create product
descriptions based on business related predefined templates. Descriptions are
divided in to sections/questions and option/answers. Sections in templates can be classified as common
and business specific sections. The interface allows exporting and importing of
templates in excel format. This application also supports
internationalization to create product descriptions in user preferred
language. The sections and options are customizable and reusable. The
application is based on JSF, Spring, Hibernate etc. GSAA – Global
Supplier Assessment and Approval System Global Supplier Assessment and Approval System
manage the supplier records and bio-based material approval process before
procurement. The system is used to ensure the
materials obtained from suppliers share DuPont and Danisco’s commitment to
high social and environmental standards. The intranet interface of
this application suite is used for the creation of supplier records and
association of materials procured through them and the supplier external
portal is used by the external suppliers. The system uses JBoss JBPM process for the
approval of every material associated with the each supplier. This is
two tier process where the request is first send to the material group and
then to the purchasing group. Approvers base their decision primarily on the
result of a questionnaire send to the suppliers. Suppliers use supplier
portal external application to answer the questionnaire. The system also
enables the approver to resend the questionnaire if required to the suppliers
asking for clarification by adding their comments. Questionnaires are
prepared with questions specific to each material and are fed to the system
in XML format. Users can search for suppliers and materials
based on different parameters and results can be printed or saved Excel or
pdf format. This application is developed based on Spring
Framework using EJB3, JSF and JPA. Our team was responsible for developing
this application from the scratch. Advanced
Analysis This application manages the analysis of various
product samples. Analysis is done on samples as part of tasks
created. User can create tasks and add samples to it for analysis. The
team responsible for the analysis of the sample will vary based on the
classification of each sample. Users select the analysis (one or more) to be
done on each sample and assign it to a specific team from where any member
from the team can assign this analysis to him or other members in the team.
After the analysis he can add comments and close it. While creating the
tasks, the user can also specify the expected days of completion and add
escalations if the tasks are not completed within the specified timeline. The
application maintains a master list of all the analysis available and can be
modified only by users with specified roles. A file management system called ELN (Electronic
Laboratory Notebook) - IDBS eWorkspace Suite is used to store resultant documents
from the sample analysis. Existing system was manual, which require folder
creations in different levels and adding the analysis to it. We developed an
automated file and folder management module, leveraging the web
services provided by IDBS. This application already existed and was
developed in Struts Framework, EJB, Hibernate and frond end in JSP, HTML and
JavaScript. The GUI of this system was revised and modified completely
by our team and we have also added collaboration functionalities into the
system. DuPont Global Hazard Label Management The goal of the Environment Health and Safety
(EHS) Global Hazard Label System (GHLS) solution is to provide the capability
to manage hazardous labels and support enterprise label printing. The Global Hazard
Label Management (GHLM) module addresses the need to manage label artifacts
through definition, modification, versioning and release. The Enterprise
Label Printing (ELP) module is responsible for printing labels. The
Global Hazard Label Management (GHLM) module will provide the tools and
capabilities to manage label artifacts and make these artifacts available
globally for printing EHS labels. The scope of the GHLM module is defined as: • Provide the administrative controls and tools to create, manage,
print, test, and release the labels into production • Integrate with SAP EHS module as the system of record for EHS label
printing content • Provide a historical repository of EHS labels released into production • Provide administrative tools required to manage role based user
authorization to solution functions Standard
Reporting Tool (SRT) Standard Reporting tool is used for the managing
the tickets [PQR] assigned to the team. The application communicates with an
external application called Remedy and creates tickets based on the data
received from this system. The user assigns this ticket to him or other
resource in the team. All the additional data required for the ticket will
get populated into the ticket from various sources and links will be provided
for getting more details. Resources can enter milestones and deliverables
inside the system and also mention the hours taken for each task. Also
frequent comments can be provided by the resource into the system which can
be referred by others in case of absence of resource and can be used for
ticket reassignment. The project dashboard interface is used by
Managers and Project leads for generating various reports. This interface
also helps in ticket forecasting, managing SLAs, periodical trends of PQRs
and overall ticket assignments. The project was developed using Struts Framework,
EJB, Hibernate and JSP. GPS PCF Alignment & IPS § Implemented Newsletter
functionality. § Automation of Time Registration
Functionality. § Resource allocation workflow
process enhancement. § Enhancement of administration
& configuration interfaces. § Simplify creation and updating
Resource Forecasting process. § Synchronization of GPS and PRADA
data. This Application was developed using Struts
Framework with EJB, Hibernate and JSP. Ø
